WEB DIALER

Using the latest technology, you are able to make cheap phone calls through our web site, with no software to download. This is ideal when using a PC away from home (e.g. in Internet Cafes) and you are unable to download software to the machine you are using. Enter your username and password on the homepage and click ‘login'. The first time to access your account, a small program will be downloaded to your browser. You are now logged in to your voipmycall account and can start placing calls! If using a shared computer, please ensure Windows does not automatically store your password when you login!

The only current supported browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or above. Users with other browsers (such as Firefox), Mac OS and Pocket PC should use either the voipmycall desktop dialer (Windows only), or the SIP dialer from Xten ( www.xten.com ).

Q. The web dialer is not loading when I click on the link. How do I resolve this?
A. The web browser requires ActiveX controls to run on your PC.
To enable Active-x control with Microsoft Internet Explorer
Click Tools/ Internet Options
Now select Custom Level
Ensure all Active-x controls are allowed

Click OK to confirm, and then refresh the page. The web dialer should now load.

Q. The dialer has loaded but I do not appear to be logged in and cannot call. Why?
A. If the message “is logged in" does not show on your dialer, you most likely have a firewall running on your machine which is blocking the connection to our server. Please disable your firewall and try again. You should now be able to login and place calls.

Q. I get the message "call failed" on every call. Why?
A. You must dial 00 (or 011 in certain countries) before the number you are calling. For example, to call a number in London , UK , you would dial 00442072346710

Q. I get a strange pop-up message when I try to call, as follows. What does this mean?
A. This indicates that you have a firewall operating (either on your machine or your network) that is blocking the call attempt. Please disable your firewall and try again.

These low cost devices connect directly to your existing internet connection and remove the need to make calls using your PC. DESKTOP DIALER

Please download, install and configure our software dialer before placing calls. If you need any help about our desktop dialer installation & configuration then please don't hesitate to send us an email. This option provides the same high quality calls as the web-based service, but removes the need to access our web site each time, so is the favored option of customers using the service from their own PC.

Q. How do I install the dialer?
A. Simply download the file from our website, and then run it. The installation wizard will guide you through the process.
The voipmycall dialer will work with most software firewalls, such as Norton Internet Security. Just remember to allow communication on all ports when prompted by the firewall software.

Q. How can I configure my headset/ mic/ speakers to the optimum settings?
A. The best way is to start a call with a friend and use the sliders on the dialer to configure the best settings to suit you. You can call another voipmycall user for free!

DIALING INSTRUCTIONS

All numbers should be dialed as you would with a regular phone, including any international prefix (such as 00, or 011). You can dial 00 or 011, both will work - we have allowed both so you can dial numbers exactly as you would with a regular phone.
